I have used the e-mail support option and was very happy with the results. In comparison to most resume help services, the price is excellent. Margaret took my wording and what I was trying to say and reworded it in a more concise and professional way. She also greatly improved the layout and the visual attractiveness of my resume, so now my resume looks much more put-together and professional.

I have met with Margaret for a resume help session at a local coffee shop (she was very accommodating in meeting me close to home, and yet on neutral territory), and found her very personable and easy to talk to. She really cared about my personal situation, and she asked very specific questions, to get to know skills and work experience I didn't realize I had. From this, she came up with a concise way of presenting those skills, and my resume now has much more 'meat' on it than it did before. I found her to be professional but not stuffy or snobby, and she prices her services much more reasonably than many other bigger companies.

I met with Margaret exclusively for coaching on interview skills. For the price she charges, this was a truly beneficial investment for me. I thought my resume was good, but I got so nervous about interviews, I always did very badly. Margaret was very supportive and understanding, and worked with me through the issues that were causing me problems. She did not tiptoe around the subject, and asked me honest questions about my interview experiences. What helped me was her explaining some of the interview questions to me, and what the hiring manager was really asking for. Then she gave me advice on how to draw on my skills when I answer. She didn't teach me rehearsed answers or 'the right answer', but to recognize the questions and use my experience in answering them. I met with her for only 30 minutes and thought it was well worth it. If I were to do it again, I would book a 60 minute session or two 30 minutes sessions. Practice, practice, practice!

I chose the e-mail support option because of the price, and I think I got more than a fair deal. Margaret cut down my resume to a reasonable size without loosing info, made it more concise (in retrospect I had a lot of rambling), and did her magic to make it look more visually appealing. I'm no stranger to Word formatting, but Margaret has a knack for getting a resume to look like it has good information on it and yet not look too crowded.

In my 30 minute resume help session with Margaret, she got right down to business. She quickly identified the bits that needed to go and also gave me credit for the bits that were good. What I liked most is that I did not feel like she was talking 'at me', but was working together with me. We did a lot of crossing out and making notes on my resume, and in the end when I got my revised resume back I was very pleased with the result. It didn't look like someone else's resume, and yet looked different and better than when I started. And like everyone else said, her price is what makes this accessible to normal people who are looking for work.
